News from the rest of the world.....
Brethren,
Those of us laboring here thought that the brethren of West Virginia might like to see some news and events going on in the rest of the Masonic world. There are many positive events and Masonry is alive. In the coming weeks we will be posting as much as possible. Please let us know what you'd like to see and read about. Of course if any of the things you read about here interest you, contact Grand Lodge and tell them.

I'm not sure any of us really care about Masonry in West Virginia any more.
It's not the Masonry I experience when I travel out of state. And when you experience more consistency outside of state, than you do in the state you know your jurisdiction is doing it wrong.
Personally I say screw it. I'm done, and I feel better being able to step back and get on with my life while the uninformed masses fulfill their need to feel inferior to GL officers as they kowtow in fear of the imaginary power of small men.
Thanks for checking back Torence, you've been a true and faithful friend to all of us here, and I have thoroughly enjoyed all of your insights. I'm a better Mason because of your participation here.

Brethren
Sorry for the lack of posts. I agree with Adam, there is definitely confusion amongst the craft. On the other hand our new Grand Master is also taking the quite path. I am guessing he is hoping to get through his year without controversy.
The Crusade is watching, but do the brethren really care?

The story goes that Napoleon Bonaparte was made a Mason in Arme
Philadelphe Lodge while at Malta in 1798. When he completed his
conquest of Egypt, Bonaparte approached those marvelous structures of
architecture, the Great Pyramids of Giza, and pronounced to his
troops, “Soldiers, from the summits of yonder pyramids, forty ages
survey your conduct. Act like heroes!”
Fable aside, who in West Virginia or the braoder expanse of Universal Freemasonry have you known to fit this
description? Who are your Masonic heroes?

i have always appreciated the men who took time away from their homes and families to coach me and others. It is an act of love, and a deire for the Craft to prosper that they display, every time they meet with a candidate. And I always love to hear the stories of our Founding Fathers. Being an American history buff, I love the stories of the Great Tea Party, and how Washington and Cornwallis sat in Lodge together after the British surrender. Its all about love for your brothers. And evry lodge has a faithful handful who make every event happen. where would we be with out them?

BIND YOURSELF WITH THE ILLUSION OF THE GRAND LODGE AND YOU SHALL NEVER CROSS THE PATH OF LIGHT!
BELIEVE THE HEART, MORE THAN THE EYES, FOR THE EYES, THEY FOLLOW REASON AND REASON IS BASED UPON WHAT ORDINARY MEN SEE; THEY DO NOT SEE ALL THAT IS THERE, SO REASON IS IN PART A LIE!
IF YOU FOLLOW A LIE YOU WILL NEVER GET TO A TRUE PLACE.
MARK MY WORDS APPRENTICES, I HAVE BEEN THERE. IN THE DWELLING-PLACE OF THE MASTERS, WERE THE DOORS ARE OPENED TO THE STARS, WHEN THEY CHOSE TO OPEN THEM, FOR THEY HAVE TRANSCENDED DEATH, THOUGH ARE WAITING STILL TO BE EVERYTHING FOLLOWING THE TRACE OF THE GREAT AMON.
RED SHALL BE KNOWN AS THE HEART, AND YOU SHALL KNOW WHAT LAYS IN THERE, FOLLOW IT AND THIS MAP USUALLY NEVER FAILS.
IF YOU STEP INSIDE THE CAVE, THE TEMPLE, THE ANSWER TO YOUR SEARCH, KNOW THAT YOU ARE FAR FROM THE END, BUT THE TIME YOU TAKE TO REACH IT, IS PART OF YOU.
BE THE MASTER OF THE CHANGE, TIME IS A SERVANT!

Ohio mason, you are right.
There is nothing in the West Virginia Grange Lodge for those who seek more light, only those willing to waste their time paying homage to those who have no idea of the inner teachings of Freemasonry. It is a fact that this site has influenced Freemasonry for the better, exposing petty games and attempts to control others. For this reason I hope it continues until the key issues discussed here in the past are resolved. I hope the Lawsuit is successful and it cost them a dear price for their actions. As for the rest of the craft in WV, thinking for themselves is something that can only be done by them. I wish they all had the time to research Freemasonry for themselves and be able to understand some of the real issues facing us in this state. I have now withdrawn myself from the craft and will continue this pattern for years to come. I will keep in touch with those willing to, aided by the secrets of Freemasonry, unfold the mysteries of Godliness. All those with lesser aspirations can swim with the fish in the sea of ignorance and beans.
Masonic law is good to know, it will cause the brethren to be in complete accord with the Grand Lodge, so that they will follow them regardless of their lives, undismayed by any danger and even if they persecute their close friends….
If, for example, good meant intelligent, and virtue meant wisdom: if men could be taught to see clearly their real interests, to see afar the distant rules of their deeds, to criticize and coordinate their desires out of the self canceling chaos into a purposive and creative harmony- this, perhaps, would provide for the educated and sophisticated man the morality which in the unlettered relies on the re-iterated precepts and external control.
Will Durant, The Story of Philosophy.
God bless all, and happy new year…..

Lets start the new year with some news about the suit against the WVGL. Does anyone out there have anything to offer?

Something to ponder...
Christian IX, King of Denmark and “Protector of Danish FreeMasonry” 1863-1906, tells the story of taking Alexander III, “Czar of All the Russias” on a carriage ride through Copenhagen. One of the designated landmarks on the route was a tower more than one hundred and fifty feet high. The carriage stopped and the King and the Czar ascended the steps to view the beautiful city from the heights of the structure. Standing there together, Alexander, who by all accounts was the embodiment of a Russian Czar, fierce, imposing and bear-like, bragged to him that “I can do something you cannot do. I can command the proudest, haughtiest and richest noble in all the Russias to throw himself from this tower; and, he would obey me instantly and dash out his brains on the rocks beneath us… and you, your Majesty, cannot do this.”
“No,” admitted King Christian, “I cannot do that; but, I will tell you what I can do. I can lay my head down in the lap of my humblest subject and sleep in peace and security…and you, your Majesty, cannot do that.”

Has the light of the Crusade's Candle fallen as dim as West Virginia herself?
While the darkness falls on this state, I fear that we all are cowering back, slinking into the night.
We who sit in this darkness pray that light will come again.
Has the Crusade been forgotten by the Crusaders?
Let us turn to the Three Great Lights while we wait, and remember that they may try to take the Word from our lips, but they can never take it from our hearts.

STFU shadow. I'm sick of your BS. If you would pull your head out of your a$$ and pay a little attention, you'd realize what the score is.
If you're so bored then go and DO something. Get off your ass and make some waves. All you've ever done is come here and play both sides of the coin. You've contributed nothing except naysaying, second guessing and hollow support. I'm still convinced you're old guard trying to get info or bait us into doing something stupid.(remember your first posts?) So just go away.
