Time is running out! It is running out for those seeking change. Who carries our BATTLE FLAG? We desperately need to find something to focus our attention on—to focus our energies, our intelligence and sense of fair play and equality. Battle lines are drawn and sides have been chosen. What is the point?
We need constitutional change. We need a constitutional convention to discuss a new constitution, a new direction! We have a right, as a Mason, with our high ideals to expect the ultimate in leadership, the best possible choice from the craft, to be able to eliminate politics from our ranks and demand selfless men to lead us into the future.
Following the court case findings, all the guilty parties, naming all of the “John Doe’s” charges filed, charges specified, read in their home lodges and penalties assessed- from expulsion for illegal procedures to severe reprimands to be read in all Lodges and made part of the minutes- probation for no less than 10 years plus suspended voting rights for all members involved. Boys, we are being watched by everyone in the US. Yes, there is confusion among the leadership of Masonry in WV. They know they screwed up! They know they made some nearly unforgivable mistakes, but we must learn from our mistakes- for that is the only way to learn is to make mistakes. My question here is this: are we going to be condemned to repeat these mistakes or are we going to make changes?
For the past two years, Freemasonry in WV has experienced a dismal failure. Chuck Coleman, I understand that you are an arbitrator for your Union. What happened to the skills you use there to settle disputes among disgruntled workers and management? Will the same techniques not work here? Charlie Montgomery, you operate a bulldozer—no backtalk there, just run over it and cover it up! Show us where you used diplomacy to settle our problems and disputes!
Brethren, we are in then midst of a Revolution! The following excerpt is taken from the interior dome of the Jefferson Memorial:
“I have sworn upon the Altar of God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.”
We desperately need mature leadership, but not from those who have become senile and not from those who live only in the past and cannot see the future. Time is running out and we cannot afford to be patient anymore!
Many of us are undecided about our independence from the “tyrannical” dominance of our Grand Lodge. Why? What’s to fear? They can’t kill us!
The stranglehold that they (GL) have over Freemasonry in WV must end! The business of expelling a PGM borders on fathomless stupidity and we are all to blame for allowing it to happen! This kind of behavior must cease immediately and forever! We must risk everything in as far as and including our Masonic reputation to make amends, heal wounds, and to improve and increase our chances for survival as Masons for the future. There must be a constitutional convention to review the old and make new laws that will guarantee our future.
Our Masonic government must have the consent of the governed. If a government fails to protect its members and their rights, its members have the right to change or abolish that government. We are not advocating for the change of ALL of the laws, but laws and institutions must go hand in hand with the progress of humans and the times. Institutions must advance to keep pace with the times and avoid forever being under the regimen of their barbarous ancestors. We now have a choice to triumph over these dictatorial leaders or forever submit to their bastardized form of Freemasonry.
Sincerely,
Roger That

We are an institution that is governed by law and not by whims. Electioneering is unMasonic, and by that the Craft demonstrates that in Ancient FreeMasonry, the office selects the Master Mason. The Master Mason does not elect to take it. Nor does any other club or clique among us, other that the Rightful Grand Lodge, select the slate. The "Rightful" Grand Lodge, of course, has always been universally defined as the sitting Masters and Wardens of the consitutent lodges or their proxies.
It is my prayer for West Virgnia that without caballing, caucusing,or other contrivances that originate from something other than the mandated leaders of our society, the Principle Officers of the local lodges, the best effect and most clarity will be realized in your jurisidction, fit for twenty-first century FreeMasonry. Be not debased. Be the finest form of our mutual Craft.

Our Illinois Grand Lodge session is tomorrow (Friday); and I will be travel there later this evening. Roger That asked the group what we 21st century Masons should focus upon and often on my mind during these occasions are the Four Basic Freedoms that Brother Franklin Roosevelt enumerated for us in his inaugeration speech in 1941.
May the decisions that you accomplish in West Vrignia affirm our mutual American sense of fair play; and promote the Four-F's in FreeMasonry, Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Speech, Freedom from Want and most pointedly, Freedom from Fear.
Fraternally,

my dear brother concerned4masonry, i would never assume to attempt to unravel any positive change. and i dont know why you think so. i thought GL was on tuesday and wednesday. am i mistaken? evidently i am the only one besides the author that has bothered to read items 1-6 under " who we are" at the right of the page. i sincerely apologise if i have offended you, or any brother in my attempt to learn what has happened. unfortunatley, my employment situation prevented my attendance at GL this year. Take care my brethtren. Peace. S.

Brother Shadowalker,
Your ignorance is either real or you are just trying to play us ALL as fools. I guess that your only brush with freemasonry comes from this forum, and you do not attend ANY meetings at your home lodge. Grand Lodge is NEVER held on a Tuesday and Wednesday, and always begins on the 2nd Monday of the month of October. Not one person has any plans, and you will get none of that out of anyone. Go to Grand Lodge on Monday and Tuesday, and if you are one who TRULY agrees with the purpose of the Masonic Crusade, vote the way you feel is right, then it can be discussed afterwards.
Thank You
