LET'S START WITH # 1
Brethren I will not list the exact laws and how they read due to space limitations except some that are more complicated.
Most items you will find are very simple.
Item #1
To give lodges the freedom to grant or deny permission to use the lodge room for meetings by DeMolay, Job’s Daughters, and Rainbow, will show our support for the youth of our communities, as they organize under the principles of these excellent youth organizations, with historic traditions compatible with Freemasonry. We should, in the words of the entertainer Jimmy Durante, “help da kids” (More)

Willing to Proceed
Before I start to dissect PGM Haas’ agenda there is one point that all must understand before we can advance any further. This point is the difference between a Law and a Note and how their respective interpretations affect the Grand Lodge of West Virginia.
A law by definition of the Grand lodge of West Virginia must comply with regulation 50,
- Proposed in writing at an annual communication.
- Seconded by 1/3 of members present
- Printed in the Journal.
- Receive 2/3 vote in favor at next annual communication
A note can be approved at any annual communication of the Grand lodge. (no prior notice or printing needed)
Example: the sections of our law book dealing with youth, the possession of books and movies by master masons, pictures in the lodge rooms, etc. are all notes.
Here we arrive at the question of how to change or repeal a note and or a law.
A law is defined by how it is originally passed. Therefore should a note not also be treated in the same way?
That’s the simple cut and dry of how this all started. More to follow soon…
Until Then,
I am Affectionately Yours,
R. Saunders

Moving Forward
Brethren,
Over the next several weeks it is my goal to discuss PGM Haas’ agenda one item at a time so all can comment on them . Starting with the permission for youth to use the lodge room, the race and disability issues, and finishing with the exemplification of our ritual in other Grand Jurisdictions for educational purposes. I hope both sides will contribute to these discussions. I truly feel that West Virginia Freemasonry will not heal until these issues are dealt with. We cannot change the arrogant removal of them by Chuck Coleman, but we can submit, re-submit, suggest, and talk about these issues again and again until we shine so much light on their bigotry, ignorance, and lack of willingness to address the members, that they will have no choice but to address them.Until we reach a point of mutual respect, I know many of you fear the penalty given to PGM Haas and PM Bosely, but don't let them do that to you.Don't let them cast their dark cloud upon you.
The Ancient landmarks, customs, and usages of our craft mention nothing of our necessity to ignore our society and continually talk down to and punish those who want to move forward and improve our gentle craft. I feel confident that one day we will be able to advance as a Fraternity. I hope men like Riley and Martin will not continue the arrogant trend laid down over the past two years. I have great hope for them and wish them the best. We, as the craft, need to create an environment where the voice of the Brethren is louder than those few PMG who think these adjustments are bad for the craft. Think about it Brethren:
We pay no homage to the United States Flag in our lodges because it may be considered offensive or divisive to a foreign Brother, yet we continually ignore the divisive issues of our own members. That is why this site exists. If we could address these issues professionally in Grand lodge this site would have no purpose. We are a reflection of most of our meeting halls. In need of repair.
Until then,
I am Affectionately Yours,
R Saunders

More thoughts from an Old Man
Thanks to the poster who said he would perform my funeral service. Thankfully, I have made other arrangements so this person need not go out on a limb for me. I am old, and unworthy of your placing yourself in jeopardy on my account, but thank you for the offer. I have spoken to a knowledgeable person from my other residence (in the South) and confirmed that I will have the service there, and given their backlog of handling paperwork, by the time any official written correspondence is received, I will have long been put away with Masonic Honors, so this is no longer an issue. In November, my attorney completed the legal paperwork to have my loving wife moved from our plot in WV to our new final resting place, and thankfully this is also now complete.
